Prima Facie Bistro and Market

History

Leon and Heather Versfeld initially purchased the building at 12 E 1st Street for house Leon's thriving Immigration Law business.  As they spent time in and around the building, their hearts changed and it became abundantly clear, God had something else in mind for the space.  They realized Parkville needed a place where relationships can be built and nurtured and people could be celebrated.  Thus Prima Facie Bistro and Market were born!

From the inception, it was all about the people; the community.  In a day and age when the family unit is suffering and neighbors are divided on a variety of subjects, our hope and desire is to bring people together to make memories that will last a lifetime.

At Prima Facie Bistro and Market, we care about quality ingredients, local partnerships and creating moments that matter.  None of which would be possible, of course, without our stellar team - they are there, on point, everyday with heart and passion, and it is their warmth that makes Prima the place it is.  Chef McBride takes pride in sourcing quality ingredients and partnering with local artisans.  From the Kitchen to Front of House - each team member pours their heart and soul into every dish, detail and interaction because we believe that hospitality at its best has the power to uplift an entire community.
