Chelsie Blakemore is a Community Health Development Specialist with Platte County Health Department. Her team puts a strong emphasis on “collaborative efforts” to engage stakeholders and members of the community in assessing and identifying Platte County’s health concerns, mobilizing resources, and implementing solutions to create systemic change.She has lived in the Northland her entire life and loves seeing the community flourish. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from UMKC in Health Science focusing on community health. She loves spending time with her husband and their three dogs, reading true crime books, remodeling her home, and visiting new places with her friends. If there is any way that she can help the community, Chelsie is ready to put in the work.

Joe has been employed in the banking and financial industry for more than 35 yrs. He is a graduate of NWMSU in Maryville with an Ag Business Degree. Joe has been a Platte County resident since 1985. He is married to wife Roberta and has 2 daughters in school at MIZZOU. Joe enjoys his job at Wells Bank, as it is a small, hands-on Community Bank. Joe likes to treat his customers the way they want to be treated. He enjoys coaching softball, riding bikes, grilling for the community on the Wells Bank Grill and watching the Chiefs and Royals.

Nathalie Aquino-Brech is the Director of Strategic Partnerships with Park University. She has been with Park University since 2005. In 2020, she relocated to Lenexa, KS for a new position as the Campus Center Director for Park University’s Lenexa campus. In 2022, she accepted the opportunity to work with the university’s Strategic Alliance team. She currently maintains offices in both the Lenexa, KS and Parkville, MO campuses. She is passionate about education and dedicated to her students. Her knowledge and experience now extend to those in the local community by partnering with government entities, business and community colleges that provide their employees and students with opportunities for growth in continuing education, leadership and management growth.Nathalie is married to her husband Bruce, a Navy and Army veteran. They have lived in Missouri since 2004 where they have raised four children.

Michelle is a veteran of the YMCA movement and has over 30 years of experience in operations, programs,board and volunteer development, facility management and fundraising. She was the team leader opening two new YMCA’s in Olathe and Bonner Springs, was instrumental in starting the
YMCA Challenger program for kids with diverse abilities in 2006 and also spear headed the construction of the all-accessible challenger sports complex that opened in 2010. She helped initiate and lead the Y’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity work locally and on a national level with YUSA. In her role as Executive Director of the Platte County Community Centers in Parkville and Platte City, she oversees all operations along with the management of our partnership with the City of Riverside.– Platte County Community Center Representative

Ed is the Executive Director for Parkville Economic Development Council (PEDC). Ed joins the PEDC with more than 25 years of experience in Community and Economic Development in the Kansas City area. Ed will serve as a liaison with public, private, and non-profits for business attraction, creation, expansion, and retention within Parkville. The PEDC actively promotes Parkville as a great place to live, work, learn and play.

My family and I moved to Platte County in 2017. I joined Edward Jones following a 20-year military career as a US Army Aviator at Fort Leavenworth. Our family is tremendously grateful for our community, friends, and neighbors. They've helped us create a vision for serving others by helping people realize their financial goals.
My wife, Sarah, and I have four children. We're both native to Missouri and moved all over the country before settling in Parkville. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Latvia. We enjoy Scouts, cycling, swimming, and the kids' school activities.

Marsha began her career with the Parkville Chamber in November, 2012. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) with a B.S. in Education. She has had several careers throughout her life, including 7 years as a Legal Secretary in downtown Kansas City and 17 years as a Database Analyst for Worldspan (now Travelport). Marsha and her husband sold their Anytime Fitness gym and hope to do more traveling in the future. She has two grown children and is blessed to have 5 adorable grandchildren, all living in the Kansas City area.
