The Parkville Area Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Council (PACE) is seeking a highly organized, outgoing, and proactive Program Assistant to strengthen our member engagement, administrative operations, and program delivery. This is a critical support role for someone who excels behind the scenes and enjoys empowering others to lead successful events and initiatives.
What You’ll Do
As Program Assistant, you’ll support the core operations of our Chamber and EDC—ensuring strong member relationships, organized systems, and consistent communication. You’ll be the administrative and membership engine behind our work, helping our event committees and volunteers shine.
Core Responsibilities:
- Member Services & Support:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members. Respond to inquiries, assist with onboarding, track engagement, and help members connect to resources and programs that benefit their business. - Administrative Coordination:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records, schedules, monthly financial reports and event calendars. Prepare materials for meetings, ensure policy compliance, and assist in developing reports and communications for the Executive Director and Board. - Communications & Outreach:
Keep our members and the public informed through regular updates across email newsletters, website content, and social media. Assist with marketing campaigns and the creation of public-facing materials that reflect our mission and values. - Event & Program Support:
Coordinate logistics and provide behind-the-scenes support for Chamber and EDC events. Partner with volunteer committees and the Executive Director to ensure smooth planning, communication, and execution—while encouraging committee-led ownership. - Volunteer & Committee Coordination:
Support volunteer committees by facilitating meetings, tracking progress, and helping them execute events and initiatives effectively. Keep communication flowing and celebrate their success. - Partnership Development:
Assist in identifying sponsorship opportunities and developing materials that demonstrate the value of supporting PACE programming.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, membership-based organizations, or business support roles
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, public administration, or related field (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Experience with financial tracking, data entry, CRM or membership software, and standard office tools
- Comfortable with digital platforms including email marketing tools, website CMS, and social media
