Parkville 4th of July Celebration
Join us for a full day of patriotic fun at the annual 4th of July Celebration in downtown Parkville!
Pancake Breakfast
Start your morning with the traditional pancake breakfast hosted by the American Legion Parkville #318. 7:30–11:00 AM.
Community Parade
Line the streets for our beloved Independence Day parade at 10:00 AM, featuring local groups, floats, and plenty of red, white, and blue! The parade grandstand is at 1st & Main Street with Independence Day trivia & giveaways starting at 10:00 AM.
To join us in the 4th of July parade, please submit an application: 4th of July Parade. The deadline for submission is June 25, 2025.
Shop, Dine, & Family Fun
Stick around after the parade for shopping and dining at our local small businesses. Many will have sip-and-shops and sales.
Join in the free family fun with a bounce house and arts & crafts activities, hosted by RiverPark Church, located at the baseball field south of the city parking lot.
Parkville Mini Golf will be open all day!
Parkville Symphonic Band Independence Day Concert featuring patriotic and Americana selections. The concert starts at 7:30 PM, at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel, Park University campus.
Falcon Skydiving Exhibition
Don’t miss the patriotic skydiving show at approx. 8:45 PM, soaring above English Landing Park & Main Street.
Fireworks Spectacular
Cap off the day with Parkville’s spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 PM over the Missouri River at the end of Main Street!
Shuttle Service – Free shuttle service to Downtown Parkville runs from 6:00–11:00 PM with pick-up and drop-off at South Platte YMCA.
Bring your lawn chairs, family, and festive spirit! The best views for the show are at the baseball field (south of the City Parking Lot), Main Street, or English Landing Park.

A great big thank you for all the work both Main Street Parkville Association and the City of Parkville has put in to make this event one of the best events of the year!
Come spend the day enjoying the Parkville Charm, and see how we celebrate our community!
Make sure you come early, bring your sunscreen, be ready to have fun, enjoy the parade and you might just get a piece of candy from the floats, parking can be tricky but worth it. The parade starts it all off, then enjoy some great food and drinks along Main Street, and then end the evening with wonderful fireworks, something for everyone! Hope to see you there!
